Objects of the value stream toolbox > Connection types of the value stream toolbox

With the Value Stream Toolbox, SimVSM has four different connection types. The direction is clearly defined, with the arrowhead representing the end point or target object.

Connection type	Color	Description
Material	brown	The material connection symbolizes the path that the products follow physically.
Information	blue	The information link symbolizes the exchange of information or data between two objects.
Kanban	violet	Separate connection type for the Kanban object.
Rework	red	Separate connection type for the reworking process. This connection has the same properties as the material connection, with the difference that this path can only be entered by products that have been marked as defective.
